Principal's Welcome

On behalf of the students, parents, staff and community, I would like to welcome you to the Archibald McGregor Elementary School homepage. It has been the staff's pleasure to educate children of southwest Canton for the past 87 years. McGregor Elementary was named after the gentleman responsible for bringing public education to Canton. The staff is honored to continue Mr. McGregor's accomplishment by educating 350 students daily and preparing them socially, academically and emotionally to be highly successful citizens.

Students live by the McGregor vision of "Where students EARN an education, LEARN to be successful, and YEARN to be the leaders of tomorrow."  Innovative programming, state-of-the-art technology and caring, professional educators are just a few of the reasons families choose McGregor as their educational partner.  The McGregor staff continually enhances instructional strategies through ongoing professional development.  The staff encompasses over 400 years of professional experience, 75% holding a Masters degree in Education and every teacher possesses Highly Qualified status by the state of Ohio.  Archibald McGregor Elementary School is truly an outstanding place to educate children.
