Principal's Welcome

On behalf of the students, parents, staff and community, I would like to welcome you to Archibald McGregor Elementary School.  It has been the staff's pleasure to educate the children of southwest Canton for the past 86 years.  McGregor relocated in January of 2007 to a new site just north of the original structure.  This allows teachers to continue a rich tradition and meet the technological needs of the future.  The school was named after the gentleman responsible for bringing public education to Canton.  The staff is proud to continue Mr. McGregor's accomplishment by educating 400 students daily and preparing them socially, academically and emotionally to be highly successful citizens.

The students live by the McGregor vision of "Where students EARN an education, LEARN to be successful, and YEARN to be the leaders of tomorrow."  Innovative programming, state-of-the-art technology and caring, professional educators are a few of the reasons families choose McGregor as their educational partner.  The McGregor staff encompasses over 470 years of professional experience and we are continually refining our skills to meet the needs of our children.  Archibald McGregor Elementary School is an outstanding place to educate children.

Sincerely,

Vic Johnson, Principal
